I bought this phone because I have been very happy with Motorola single line cordless phones. But this phone is disappointing. I'm already looking for a replacement.

It does the important things well. Sound quality is good, lots of features, intuitive menu. It falls short on the little things - each one trivial by itself, but combined they are quite annoying.

PRO's:

Good sound quality

Lots of features

Doesn't take up too much desk space

Large enough to be easy to hold

CON's:

Menu system is slow, making speed dial frustrating

Short battery life

Base rings if a call comes in on second line, even if you're on the first line

Can't maintain separate speaker and non-speaker volumes

Often indicates a message even when there is none

This phone system is great. The phones can be used with called ID. Also, that have lots of features that make them handy and save you time. The answering machine part of the phone works great.

Bottom line, it is a great phone system.
