I got this as an expansion on a three-handset unit and it works perfectly. I love the Bluetooth link, but I wish that I could get texts on the remote handset (I realize this is probably a limitation of the BT interface, but still it's a gripe). I no longer see texts I'm sent when I'm at home because my mobile is sitting next to the telephone. Other than that limitation, I'm completely happy with it!

We eliminated our landlines in our home several years ago. There have been two problems. 1st, sometimes we forget the cell phone in the car and can't hear it ringing when someone calls. 2nd, if the cell phone is in a room far from where you happen to be you can't hear it ringing or get to the phone too late. This phone by AT&T solves these problems plus makes some improvements I hadn't considered before the purchase. Now when we pull into our garage our cell phones automatically connects to the AT&T cordless system using bluetooth connectivity. If we forget the cell phone in the car, no problem. All of the AT&T phones in the house ring when someone calls the cell phone. Another advantage is that we have three AT&T handsets throughout our house. No longer do we have to run or risk not hearing the cell ring. Another bonus I hadn't considered is that our house has "dead" zones on our cell phone.
