Mini Headset (earplug) with 2.5 mm plug

Amazon.com Product Review

The AT&T 90800 mini headset is a headset designed for hands-free phone use. With a high-quality noise-canceling microphone and a padded over-the-ear speaker, this headset offers both convenience and comfort. The single speaker allows you to hear what is going on around you and the microphone helps eliminate ambient noise and echoes from reaching the person on the other end of the line. Both the microphone arm and earpiece are fully adjustable for use on either side of your face. In addition, you can plug the headset in or remove it without disconnecting your call.

The AT&T 90800 mini headset features universal adaptability for any telephone or computer with a 2.5-millimeter audio jack. Along with the headset, you receive a shirt clip to attach the cord to your clothing. It also comes with instructions and a limited one-year warranty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Product, November 17, 1999

Don't waste your money on a bulky Uniden headset for twice the price. This is an excellent headset. I have read that some have had some interference problems with some headsets on DSS phones, mine that came with my Lucent Tech 900 Mhz analog works GREAT on my Uniden 9960 900 Mhz DSS.The microphone is adjustable, but it almost doesn't need to be, it picks up your voice that well. It doesn't end up in front of your face, either, more like at the side of your cheek. It weighs nothing, and doesn't clamp onto your head, just lightly clips to your ear.I'm buying another one, right now....(click).

I couldn't believe that a headset that cost so little could be so good, comfortable, and convenient. I bought two, fully prepared to send them back because I was convinced that you couldn't get a good headset for $9.99. Color me wrong! I can wear it for a full working day out of my home office and not even be aware it's there. When attached to a cordless phone that hooks on your belt, you have total mobility. The earpiece is light and easily slipped over your ear; once it's on, you're not even aware it's there. The microphone wand looked too short, but it works so well that people tell me that the sound is very clear and they can't tell I'm on a headset. Unlike a speaker phone, it even does a great job of screening out background noise too (like the roofing contractor who was banging over my head and the housekeeper who was running the vacuum cleaner!). My only disappointment is that it doesn't fit on my Nokia 6062 phone, because I wish I could use it on my cell phone in...Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars The next best thing to world peace, February 22, 2000

This headset is the best 10 bucks I've ever spent. The sound quality is perfect (by phone standards) and the set is so comfortable I can't tell that I'm wearing it. The clip-over-the-ear style had me worried about comfort, but now I think it is superior to any overhead style. The mike placement is great, it picks up my voice clearly yet is off to the side enough that I can eat and drink without even realizing that the headset is on. It almost seems like telepathy, talking to and hearing someone distant so clearly, with no handset in your hand and no sensation of wearing a headset! We got 2 of these; my wife has arthritis and holding the phone hurts her wrist. Now she can water the garden while she yaps away. I like to work on my cars while I'm on the phone. You do have to attach the clip on the wire to your lapel to keep the wire from tapping the mike. I usually nitpick and complain about something about every purchase, but none here.
