AT&T TL90078 DECT 6.0 Digital Cordless Expansion Handset

I think this phone, and more generally DECT cordless phone technology, are very good ideas. The benefits I've noticed with this phone are increased range, better call quality and pretty much zero conflict with my home wireless network. The Bluetooth feature for pairing with your cell phone is OK, but ultimately I didn't end up using it as much as I thought I would. Really this would be best suited for someone who primarily uses their cell and isn't worried about over-extending their mobile phone plan by using it even when home. It is a convenience to be able to consolidate your home and mobile calling activity in one handset, but to some degree this feature is rendered obsolete (in my opinion) by something like Google Voice that will basically provide the same kind merging of your phone traffic, and do it for free.

I bought this phone for its bluetooth capability, and am very happy with it. It is user friendly and I love the fact it is expandable. I start with 2 handsets and have now doubled to 4.
I live in the country and have sporadic cell phone reception, so a home phone is still necessary for me and this one makes life easy by allowing my cell phone to ring through to the home phone.
I highly recommend this phone!

I purchased the base station and 1 phone a about a month ago and decided to add another extension. These work quite well and like that I can pair my cell phone. About the only things I can think for improvement is a volume adjustment that can be accessed during a call, because the calls that come in via paired cell phone typically have lower volume and quality. The other is to add some weight to the base and phone as they just don't feel very substantial.
