Speakerphones on both the base and handset combine with headset compatibility to provide hands-free communication options, while handset and base LCD screens, as well as dual keypads, allow you to easily navigate the phone's functions. The 50-number caller ID memory displays a list of all recent incoming calls, and the 50-number phone directory lets you keep track of important phone numbers.
Multi-user expandable up to eight handsets (one included), the E2555 allows you to place additional extensions wherever you need them. An illuminated keypad makes dialing a snap, even in poorly lit environments, and the redial feature lets you easily dial any of the last 10 outgoing numbers. A two-way page/intercom button lets you communicate with other handset locations, while a conferencing feature allows you to speak with multiple parties at once.
The all-digital answering machine has up to 25 minutes of recording time, and remote operation lets you keep track of all your messages even while you are away from home. Voice prompts help you to manage your messages, and each handset is capable of retrieving messages from the base. The E2555 has an 8.5-by-8.7-inch footprint and is also wall-mountable, helping you to keep your countertops free from unnecessary clutter. It is backed by a one-year warranty.

A good display with lots of easy to use features. I would have liked the display to be a little brighter but it still is way better than the vtech it's replacing. It's the little brother of the number one multi handset unit as rated by Consumer Reports. So far, the sound has been crystal clear on all calls. I really like the speakerphone in the handset. I also like getting messages via the handset. The digital AND analog clock in the handset display is great when you're out in the yard and forgot your watch. No troubles with it at all, and it has out lived most of the other cordlesses we've owned. Then we got a really big puppy. Need I say more? I needed a new handset, but unfortunately, this phone was discontinued. I was so delighted to find it from this supplier! When it arrived and I unpacked it, to my dismay it did not have the number buttons on the desk unit. I phoned the supplier to send it back, but he offered me a credit and we've combined phones and made it work. All happy. |
