The package includes two E580-2 Cordless Handsets plus the base station that also functions as a speakerphone and a digital answering machine. Other features include a 256-color display on the handset and base, six polyphonic musical ring tones, canned images that can be assigned to callers, and a directory with room for 100 names and numbers. This phone system provides caller ID/call waiting information when subscribed to service, and it has a 50-number call log. It also includes a 50 name/number quick-dial directory.

It transmits over 5.8 GHz DSS technology, offering you the best available performance when it comes to clarity, range, and security. To be on the 5.8 GHz wavelength means you're on a much less trafficked area of the bandwidth than both the 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz products occupy.

The answering system can record up to 99 messages, depending on how long each message is. Individual messages can be up to 4 minutes long, but total maximum recording time is 25 minutes. Messages will remain available for replay until you delete them.
