Learning curve is non-existent. Much better than any previous phone w/answering machine I've ever had, and I've had at least 5 before this including AT&T, Panasonic, PhoneMate and Bell. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: CS6229 Expandable Cordless Phone with Digital Answering System and Caller ID (Office Product) This CS229 EXPANDABLE CORDLESS PHONE WITH DIGITAL ANSWERING SYSTEM AND CALLER ID is a real winner! Even with the base, it takes up very little space on a table or kitchen counter. The black and silver colouring are nice to look at. The "window", wherein one sees various phone functions, including caller ID, is nice and large, and a pleasing green colour, instead of the annoying yellow or worse, orange, found in some ohter phones. It has a 6.0 rating, which means it has a larger range than 5.0 or less phones. The phone itself is light and easy to carry. This review is from: CS6229 Expandable Cordless Phone with Digital Answering System and Caller ID (Office Product) I wanted an easy to use phone for my landline. However, this phone seems very buggy, which makes it annoying to use. For example, whenever someone calls me and I end the call, the voicemail indicator blinks until I clear it. Why the voicemail indicator even comes on when no one has left a voicemail is beyond me. I also have to clear the phone itself because it'll say I have voicemail or messages, when in fact I do not. And when I do actually get a voicemail, the phone base has difficulty deleting them afterward. It took me nearly a day to get the phone to delete a message. Cheap, yes. Nice design, yes. Good construction, yes; I've dropped the phone twice without it falling apart. It is just really inconvenient to use on a daily basis though. I'm looking forward to canceling my landline next month and throwing this phone into a closet never to be seen again. |
