GE 27918GE1 Dect 6.0 Cordless Accessory Handset for 27907GE1 (Black/White)

We replaced a very old phone system with a base and two portable units in this line from RCA/GE.

I am not an electronics geek but I found this system easy to program and set up was very quick. We have had it operating for two weeks and it works fine and has good sound d quality and no apparent interference with our wireless computer net work or our wireless surround sound system.

This is a very poor quality phone. I had to return the first one after 22 days because it didn't work anymore. I received another after shipping it back and I have tried so many times to get this one to connect with the base unit but it always fails. I called the 800 number listed to get tech help with the phone but you never get to speak to a service tech. GE Thomson which is the service listed number will give you a long distance number to call. In all fairness the seller DigitalEtc isn't to blame because he doesn't make this junk, infact he tries very hard to help but what can he do except keep shipping another one to see if it will work. I bought a Uniden to replace it which is perfect. The GE Chinese junk is gone to a recycle dump where it belongs.

After trying literally DOZENS of phones over the years, my 75 year old Grandmother has determined that this model is the best she's tried. Whew. It's been a long time coming. She now has the base station and several of these phones scattered throughout the house. The audio boost button on the side is easy to access and doesn't distort the sound at all. The phone is also good because it doesn't squeak and squeal from her hearing aid. She (and all of us by extension) are very pleased.
