The store where I got my base station was out of handsets, so I purchased through Amazon. They synced up great and work well with my AT&T Uverse service. Only complaint is that the charging LED is SUPER bright and will keep you up at night if you have the phone in a bedroom. Great set of features, like the Google 411 capability and the fact it won't interfere with other wireless stuff in my house. The only problem is that is has a very common issue in that it de-registers itelf from the base station continuously and has to be re-started by pulling the battery to re-register and make/answer a call. Search the internet for the model number and you will see several other people experiencing the same issue. Mid-way through the first day of use, I pick up the phone to make a call and the handset beeps twice and is dead when I try to dial. Try dialing again, two-beeps nothing. It has de-registered itself from the base. I have to turn the phone over, open the back, pull the battery, put the battery back in, put the phone back in the phone base and wait for it to start up to make a cal. After that seems fine. A few hours later it does it again, same issue, same fix. There is a serious defect with these phones (check out other review sites). The phone will just stop working, the phone will not ring when there are incoming calls, and you cannot make outgoing calls until you "reset" the phone by unplugging and plugging it back in. And this happens often (daily or several times a day). I have not determined a pattern or trigger for this to happen...just when you think it is safe to trust the phone it goes wacko yet again. Don't buy this phone unless you want to buy a new phone by a different manufacturer shortly after. |
