Thompson 44319805185 GE Cell Fusion Gateway (Electronics) This item is the same as the GE Cell Fusion Model Number 21518EC1 with the only difference being the packaging it arrives in (this one is actually a blister packaged 21518EC1 placed in a box with the model number 21518EE1). This one is usually priced lower. The sound quality is as good as the wired telephone you choose to plug into the device. It plays nicely with an iPhone 3GS and also an iPhone 4. It will automatically reconnect when in range, passes caller ID information through and audio quality is as good as a high quality bluetooth headset. Overall I'm pleasantly surprised. I would purchase this product again. I had also considered the X-Link but couldn't justify the same functionality for three times the price. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: G.E. Thompson 44319805185 GE Cell Fusion Gateway (Electronics) Thought it was something I was doing when randomly the cell phone was no longer connected to the Cell Fusion. However, after about 10 days, I was using the phone for multiple calls and it was working just as advertised --- an then the blue tooth connection was gone?
Same conditions, same location to the Cell Fusion, just disconnected. The re-connection should be smooth but it is not. The Cell Fusion must some times be turned off and started over, some times not. When it worked it was pretty good, lost some clarity in the conversation but it was okay. When entering response numbers from the copper wire phone, the key must be held down for an extended period and a long series of key pad numbers did not seem possible. Just go to the cell phone and use that for the call. Oh yeah, and good luck establishing the blue-tooth connection. I have a Nokia, new model cell phone. We no longer use the device, its not worth the effort. Try something else! 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: G.E. Thompson 44319805185 GE Cell Fusion Gateway (Electronics) This works as advertised when it is setup correctly but that part was a little tricky and the reason I only gave it 4 stars. Assuming that there is nothing wrong or different about my individual unit than others, I had some trouble with the installation and will explain in detail. I also called GE before and after purchase and I'll just say that they know nothing about this unit at all and I even called them back to tell them how I fixed the problems and they said they will note it in their computer system but who knows if they will. I use this WITHOUT land line service and connect my 2 mobile phones (work and home) to the unit to receive calls through regular house phones. Before I bought it I wanted to know if each phone had a distinctive ring to know which phone was calling and I couldn't find that information anywhere. I called GE and I was told it did not. I purchased it anyway and gladly found out it does. The #1 connected phone has a double (ring-ring) and #2 is a...Read more |
