Either way, you get to listen to static (other people hear you fine) and this is the worst sounding phone I've ever heard. Avoid this phone at all costs as it is much worse than the discount cordless phones you see from time to time. Good ergonomics though. Hopefully Target will take this back. The ringer only works half the time. I returned it and purchased a 2.4 GHz Virgin Cordless for a third of the price. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By Mom of 3 (Elwood, IL) - See all my reviews This review is from: GE Cordless Phone (25898GE3) (25898GE3) (Electronics) I didn't find the reception as bad as the sound quality. It has 4 volume settings and if you are speaking to someone with a soft voice, forget trying to hear what they are saying to you. I usually have to switch to my GE 2.4GHz phone in my bedroom and then I can hear fine. I would love the phone if I could hear what the caller was saying. P.S. I do not have any hearing problems though this phone makes me question that! |
