The Memorex MPH6929 is a simple, functional phone with the most features you'll need in a cordless phone. It transmits on the 900 MHz band, the most popular high-frequency telephone band; signals transmitted on this band are more energetic than the 49 MHz band used by older cordless phones, resulting in improved sound quality and greater range. 40-channel auto scanning selects the channel with the least interference.

The MPH6929's features include 10-number memory, an LED display, flash button, in-use/charge indicator, tone/pulse dialing, last-number memory, microphone mute, a ringer on/off switch, talk on/off with in-use LED, hearing aid compatibility, desk or wall mounting, replaceable ni-cad battery, and digital answering system.

The answering system includes 15 minutes of recording time, a voice time/day stamp, an LED digit counter, and a memo-record function. There is a one-year warranty on the Memorex MPH6929.

I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed with this item. When I bought this phone, it had a 4-5 star rating from several different people.

When I first got the phone/answering machine, I thought it was a great deal, but then I started to use it, I realized that it had some problems, like the volume couldn't be adjusted so it sounded like the person on the other line had a bad reception. After several of these calls, I realized it was this phone that had the bad reception.

Now, after just 5 months, the phone doesn't even work. It rings, but when you push the TALK button, there is silence. I can't even make outbound calls anymore. PLEASE save yourself some money, and avoid buying this phone.

This phone had good reviews when I bought it. Don't waste your money. First, I had problems with the phone not responding when I pressed the talk button. I changed the battery, but it's still fickle -- sometimes the talk button works, sometimes it doesn't. The remote features have stopped functioning completely -- I can't retrieve messages when I'm not at home. I'm very dissapointed with this phone.

The sound quality of this phone is very poor. It fades and is fuzzy and uneven. The tone of the ringer is also annoying.
