The only problem with this phone is with answering a cell call. When pressing the cellular key to answer a call the display will read call ended. Press again and the display will read call on hold. Press the third time and you are able to answer the call. I called Motorola customer service and the lady listened to my problem and spoke with tech support to determine that my phone had a sofware problem. She called me back twice to verify the problem and then informed me that they would exchange the phone. She then asked for my email address so that she could forward instructions for making the exchange. That was on 02/08/2010 and as of 02/13/2010 I have heard nothing from her even though she has my phone number and email address. I usually check the reviews first, but was "lazy" this time and just bought it. I have a "pay as you go" cell phone service, and therefore was not interested so much in the "make cell phone calls from your home phone" feature (need to save cell minutes). I WAS, however, very interested in the bluetooth "hands free" headset feature. This phone seemed like a perfect solution to be able to talk 100% hands free via a bluetooth headset, and that's why I bought it. If this is your reasoning as well, and you have not yet purchased this phone, then as Ivan said, DON'T buy it.
This was my experience. I used a bluetooth headset which I had confirmed worked perfectly with 2-3 different makes/models of cell phone. After some trial and error, I was finally able to get it to pair with the Motorola base on bluetooth channel 1. There is no way to dial out and use a headset (bluetooth or wired -- there are no external connectors on the unit).
