Amazon.com Product Description
This stylishly modern phone from Northwestern Bell offers a clear 5.8 GHz signal with plenty of security, range, and clarity; it automatically scans though the 75 available channels to keep your conversation clearly audible and static free. Plus, the system can grow with your household, expandable to four handsets, with two handsets and a remote charger/stand included in the box.

Each handset's three-line LCD provides access to caller ID/call waiting (if you have a subscription through your local phone service) that lets you know who's calling at a glance, along with storing 40 names and numbers of your most recent callers. Return their calls at the touch of a button, with the display-and-dial feature, or add their information to your 20-station phone book for permanent storage.

The phone includes a 15-minute fully-digital answering system that features full remote operation. The handset includes a headset jack and belt clip, and is hearing aid compatible; the volume of both ringer and conversation can be adjusted with the flick of a switch. The manufacturer offers a one-year warranty, covering parts and service.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty nice phone overall : ), May 29, 2007
This review is from: Northwestern Bell 35818-M1 5.8 GHz Analog Cordless Phone with Dual Handsets and Answering System (Pearl) (Office Product)
This is a pretty nice system that I am happy with. There are so many choices out there, it is hard to choose. Overall, I really like the quality of the Bell phones. The batteries do seem to last much longer than the cheap phones and they are built sturdier. As for the features....it seems to have what everyone else is offering now-a-days (which is really a lot) so there is not much discrepancy there. I really love the Pearl color...it is so refreshing....in a world of black phones! The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating instead of the 5 star rating....is because YES it does have SPEAKERPHONE....however the speakerphone is integrated into the base and not the actual handset. I am fine with that....as the flipside is..it actually has better speakerphone capabilities than if it were built into the phone...IE: better, greater range/pick up/clarity etc....so it is hasn't been a problem for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Lousy Phone - Shop Elsewhere, January 12, 2011

This review is from: Northwestern Bell 35818-M1 5.8 GHz Analog Cordless Phone with Dual Handsets and Answering System (Pearl) (Office Product)
I've only had this phone for 6 months and I'm already shopping for a different one. After fully charging both handsets last for MAYBE 5 minutes before I start getting the beeps and "low battery" indicators. The sound quality is hideous, constantly fades in and out - even if you are standing next to the base!! The answering machine playback - even at top volume - is barely audible. All the programming features (memory, answering, etc.) are very NON-user friendly.

I have dsl, which may be part of the sound quality issues, though all my lines have dsl filters on them.

I'll never buy another Northwestern Bell product again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love this phone, August 26, 2008
This review is from: Northwestern Bell 35818-M1 5.8 GHz Analog Cordless Phone with Dual Handsets and Answering System (Pearl) (Office Product)
This is my first cordless phone and I love it. My only problem is that after about 2 years of use I now have to replace the battery in the handset because it doesn't seem to hold a charge- I don't know if that is normal wear- I've heard that rechargeable batteries lose their life after so many charges. Other than that I'm very happy with it
