Northwestern Bell Digital Answering System (62800-1B)

This thing is absolute junk !!! Both outgoing , and incoming messages are very garbled at best . Speaker is on the bottom of the machine , wonder who's idea that was ? Avoid this machine ! Don't let it's low price lure you in as it did me . Bell should be ashamed to put there name on this product !

Amazon is selling the -1B version of this machine, J&R ships the -1 which is the only model they stock and it has fewer features than the -1B. I purchased the -1B for "answer only", -1 does not have that feature ... so back it goes.

I ordered this answering system because I wanted something simple that would just take messages when I wasn't available too. It took me about 5 mins to read through the instructions and get it all set up. (I'm not that electronic savvy to save my life) And I was connecting it to a phone AND a fax machine so wasn't sure how that would work. In no time....worked like a charm. Messages could be a little clearer but it really isn't that bad...It definitely does what it's supposed to and set up is a cinch!
