DECT 6.0 Technology means less Interference. Engineered to work in 1.9GHz frequency, our DECT 6.0 phones won't conflict with common wireless devices such as 2.4GHz routers, wireless keyboards and mouses, microwave ovens and other household items. And because it's digital, you'll enjoy long range and clear sound while deterring eavesdropping. Call Block.
Store the Caller ID info of any and all unwanted callers into your phone's Call Block list so that you can eliminate future pesky calls from them. After their information is stored, they'll get a busy signal if they call you again. Silent Mode.
Now you can program each handset to ring or not at your discretion. For example, before you go to sleep, set the bedside handset to Silent Mode so that it won't ring for the duration of your slumber. In the meantime, the handset in another room is unaffected, and rings as usual.

Summary: Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone with 2 Handsets (KX-TG6412M) 2010-09-03
Comment: Despite being labelled a remanufactured phone, it looks brand new. Greatest price for what I needed - a phone for my majicjack phone line. Since I work from home a lot I need a second line. For teleconferences I can use the speaker phone with mute. Haven't tried any other features except caller ID. The second line works great from one floor below.

Summary: Battery Does Not Hold Charge 2010-07-12
Comment: I purchased this phone 18 mos ago and have been satisfied but in the last 2 mos the phone cannot hold a charge for more than a day and usually less and is getting progressively worse. A call to customer service got me the response that the phone needs to be put in the cradle after each and every use, which to me kind of defeats the purpose of having a cordless phone. The rep also helpfully told me that if I was not happy with the performance she would gladly transfer me to the part dept where I could purchase new batteries for the phone.
I also informed the rep that I have had Panasonic cordless phones in the past and the batteries held there charges much longer. She informed me that these are newer technology batteries that are much smaller and need to be charged much more frequently and the phones are performing as they are meant to and also the batteries are only meant to last a year.
This is all good info that would have been useful for me to know BEFORE I purchased the phones.
So now you know ...buyer beware.

Comment: This is a great phone. small, with an intuitive features interface and just the right amount of technology. love the call blocking feature. we have these idiot telemarketers that call all the time. now i just select call block once and i never hear the ring again.
