An additional handset for expandable 5.8 GHz Panasonic systems, the KX-TGA570S is compatible with both the KX-TG5771S and the KX-TG5761S system models. Like the base systems, the cordless handset utilizes 5.8 GHz Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum technology, meaning that it operates on a different wavelength with much less traffic than the 2.4 GHz technology while maintaining the great security, incredible clarity and long range. Have a wireless computer network, or thinking about getting one? 5.8 GHz technology will not interfere with wireless networks such as 802.11b or 802.11g WiFi.

I had one of these units with the base and the battery would last for about 4.5 hours. I purchased two more thinking it would be a great way to get through my day, just swap one for the other when the battery started getting low. However the two units that arrived only hold a charge for 2 hours.
