This review is from: Philips CD1501B/37 DECT Series Dual Expandable Cordless Phones with Digital Answering System (Office Product)
I wanted a phone with fewer features and came across this device on Amazon. Browsing through dozens of offerings (most from Panasonic), I found this Philips phone(yes! finally, something different). Philips is a good brand, I thought. Now that I've had it for about a week, I can say that this is one of the worst consumer products I have ever purchased. From poor and cheap look and feel to an astonishingly miserable quality of sound (it's truly horrific and you can't do anything about it) and synchronization (I still haven't figured out how to have two phones on at the same time for a conference call - and trust me, I am not new to this), I am stunned that such products get out there at all. The $59 I paid are not a big amount, but it's $59 too much for such useless device. I am looking into ways to return it and if I can't, I will consider this my punishment for not doing sufficient research and simply trusting the brand name.

It looks like a nice (and expensive) phone, but do not be deceived: it is [...]. It won't allow personalized ringtones, the remote access does not work (though it says it does, I couldn't get it to work after 45 minutes), and the instructions are counterintuitive and misleading. Using this phone has been the most frustrating experience I've recently had. Get anything else.
