I go back a ways with Internet telephony. In the mid- to late-1990s, I used Net2Phone. Reception was always fuzzy and I remember buying several headsets that used separate plugs for the microphone and speaker that connected to jacks on the sound card. The voice quality with those cheap headsets was so bad that I finally broke down and bought an expensive USB headset. Only then, I was able make calls where the sound quality was tolerable.
But now, with the popularity of broadband, better soundcards, and more mature technology, Internet telephony has gotten to the point where the sound quality is often as good as landline telephone. I have become a big Skype fan, and I was looking for an inexpensive light-weight headset that I could keep in my laptop bag and not worry about it getting crushed.

When I needed a new headset for Skype, Sennheiser was the first name I thought of. I love their headphones and figured I could count on the same quality in a headset. I was right. If you need a computer headset for long conversations, it doesn't get any better than this - it's super comfy, great sound quality, and totally reliable.

This headset finally fulfills my wishes after so many others have failed.
Sennheiser is known for it's great sound quality. Note that if you want no noises from your surrounding at all, you might want to look for the more expensive noise cancelling headsets.
This product is straight forward, good looking, light, comfortable and it doesn't break like all the other cheap headsets!
Furthermore, I chose this since I had problems with the USB headsets when switchig under Vista between different USB devices for sound (micro & speakers and headset and webcam with micro). With the traditional 2 cinch like plugs everything works smooth, and I don't use up my USB ports in my laptop wich I might need for other USB devices. Of course, with non USB you can also use it with your sound system, your MP3 player and everywhere else.
I recommend it!
