We've been trying to warm up to this phone for the last year. It keeps dropping connections, and then comes back after a 1/2 minute or so. It does this even if we are using it right next to the base. My whole family has had nothing but inconsistant performance and frustration with this thing. Reading the other reviews, seems people have been experiencing the same thing.

Great features, looks nice, doesn't work.

We were looking for a basic phone with caller id, with house phones these days going on the outs it's hard to find a decent one..This phone is sturdy not cheaply made, the screen is easily readable with nice adjustable volume for ringer and talk...It's not cracky or does not break up and you can hear crystal clear...For a basic phone this is the way to go, I will buy uniden from now on

For over two years it has been a constant struggle with the expensive hearing impaired phone presently in use--with all the adjustments the tonal qualities had much to be desired and I thought I was going crazy. For over two years I've tried various phones and systems, however, this little slim/attractive/very functional and, most important, inexpensive phone has solved so many issues. Thank goodness--it is wonderful to be able to converse with some normalcy and without being yelled at. This is due to the fact that the ringer is strong, you can adjust the volume of discussion without troubles, and the clarity of all is just great. To be able to add another set is also a very nice feature and this is what I've done. This item is well worth the money spent to acquire.
