Uniden DECT 6.0 Two-Line Cordless Phone with Caller ID (DECT4066A) (Black)

Comment: Even though DECT 6.0 is supposed to be immune to interference issues with WiFi, this phone seems to make my WiFi environment "hiccup" nevertheless. Moreover, Line1 is very susceptible to a background hum if there is any WiFi activity anywhere nearby the base station.

Comment: Negatives:

Clock is not dependable; loses 1 hour or more every couple of days, not synchronized with phone company time signal.

Speaker-phone on both handset and base is terrible, cuts out if more than one party speaks simultaneously, making it unusable except for 'listen-only' calls.

Sound quality of speaker-phone is very poor.

Buttons on base station don't seem to work dependably.

Smooth buttons on handset don't have as good 'feel' compared to soft buttons on previous Uniden phones.

Positives:

Significantly longer range than my older Uniden model TRU8866

Black finish and blue lighting are preferable to the orange lights in my old system.

I thought I was upgrading my old Uniden TRU8866 system with this, but the older system was much higher quality in most respects. I would have been better off just putting new batteries in the old phone and forgoing the extra range.

Comment: I use this phone in my home office. I depend on it greatly, so it is important to be reliable and to have good voice quality. So far it has met my needs. I like the ability to have my phone directory on both the base and handset by only inputting the data on one or the other. It has been a great phone thus far and very much worth the price paid. I've only had the phone for about a month.

Comment: This two-line phone system (for those that require a tow-line phone in the home or small business) is awesome. Crystal clear sound and voice quality, easy to use and program, and overall fantastic and well designed product.

Comment: The Uniden DECT 6.0 is a good phone with decent range. I should note that the speakerphone is simplex, not duplex, meaning the other side has to be quiet for you to be speak. So it feels a bit like a delay and sometimes you step on the other caller, but this is just with the speakerphone use. If Uniden would change the speakerphone to duplex, I would give it 5 stars.
