they have all the features you would expect phones in 2011 to have. speaker phone, intercom between phones, mute, 1 button voice mail/answering machine, redial, neon orange back lighted keypad, easy to use menu, loud or soft ringer, customizable banner, flash, great sound on both ends even with speaker phone, big rubber buttons, long battery charge, slim design, modern black and gun metal colors casing, flat bottom to stand upright, durable design. Glad I got 4 of them. 1 for every room and 1 for the garage outside. Only the answering machine plugs into the wall phone jack, the rest just plug into the wall with the AC plug. Couldnt ask for anything more really. AWESOME PHONES GREAT BUY

This phone set works perfectly. I am not sure if the other reviewer just had a DOA unit. But once you connect the power and the phone line it works perfectly on a land line, or my Ooma.

I ordered this product (Uniden DECT 6.0 Silver Cordless Digital Answering System with Caller ID and Four Handsets (DECT1580-4)) on 01/23/2011 from Amazon online (Amazon order ID 105-4933275-8858663). Around Dec. 2011, the battery for one handset only allowed me to talk around 20 min. I thought this is a battery issue, so I switched the battery from another working handset. But the talk time is still less than 20 min. And now, the handset shutoff immediately when I pick up the handset - completely useless.
