This phone is great for family members who are hard of hearing because there's no background noise, static or blurring of words; it's just like you are in the room with the person you're talking to. And, you can boost the volume with the touch of a button while talking. The ring tone is easy to hear and there's a flashing light to call your attention to an incoming call. As a bonus, it also functions as an intercom. My husband, who wears hearing aids, likes them so much that we now have 7 scattered throughout the house and in the garage! I've tried many cordless phone systems and this is the best I've found. Ring tones, voice clarity and loudness, etc., are all customizable. I purchased enough accessory phones for every room in the house. I love that the answering system is attached to a land line, since we have frequent power outages that disable all the extensions, but I'm still able to use the handset on the answering machine.

Purchased this hand accessory package prior to the summer and then went away. Came back and the 14 days had lapsed so I could not return the items when they didn't work. It states in the description and on packaging that it works well with the Loud and Clear Base Unit, so I purchased them together. Nothing could be further from the truth, none of these phones are working with the base. They do not recognize each other, maybe different production years, I don't know but these things are junk. So I have no phones and no money or credit to buy new phones.
