Set up your own home or small office communications system with this VTech 5.8 GHz cordless phone package, which includes the v2656 base and phone and two additional handsets (model v2600) with chargers. As stylish as it is flexible, the v2656 2.4 GHz digital spread spectrum phone system comes loaded with caller ID/call waiting capability with 50-name and number caller ID memory (requires subscription through your local phone company), and a 50-name and number phone directory. The digital answering system has 3 mailboxes, enabling each employee or family member to have their own mailbox. It also has a 12-minute recording capability
The three handsets communicate through the base unit and can each function as speakerphones and also allow handset-to-handset communication. Each handset offers programmable ringer types. Take advantage of smart dialing from caller ID to call people back without having to enter their numbers. Other key features include any-key answer, backlit keypad and display, mute, 2.5 mm headset compatibility (for hands-free conversations), and visual message waiting indication (VMWI), which alerts you to waiting messages.
Digital spread spectrum technology uses a wider bandwidth than standard 900 MHz transmission, casting the data that makes your conversations across multiple frequency points and at greater power than do traditional cordless phones. VTV2656/2V2600 2.4 GHz Phone with CID and Digital Answering System with 2 Extra V2600 Handsets (Office Product) I have had these phones (base and 3 add. handsets) for about 7 months now, and I have to say, they are indestructible. We are very hard on our cordless phones, and Vtech so far has proved the best for us. The menus are hard to navigate, and it stinks to have to go into the menu for caller id, and I would like to be able to rename the phones based on room instead of handset, but like I said, in my experience Vtech phones are the most durable. Out of this set, one was thrown (very hard) across the room, the only thing that happened to it was the display no longer works. I couldn't find one for more than a month, finally found it outside in a bush, but once it dried out it worked perfectly. I don't know what happened with the other reviewers phones, but we use them all the time, and they only get charged overnight about once a week. Probably at least 8 hours of talk time for us on each battery charge, if not more. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Window Display, By This review is from: V-tech.
