Been looking for a phone system like this for about 2 years. I have a large family in 2 story house with tile floor, the shouting gets old when calling the kids for dinner or whatever else. This is a cordless phone system with a walkie talkie option to call one phone or all and make your announcement. I've had no reception issues and the sound is clear.
Pros
-easy to use
-easy set up
-sounds good
-no reception issues (in 1830 2 story sq. ft home)

Cons:
-cant name each handset (they are assigned a number)
-base does not have speaker phone (each handset does)
-no alert tone
-wish volume was a little higher
-limited to 5 handsets

After six months of use, these phones routinely fail due to inferior batteries.

The phone goes dead if you try to use speaker phone.
The phone goes dead if you try to use the intercom function...even when it's on the charger.
The phone goes dead if it's off the charger for more than 90 minutes or so.

I cant live like this, not when I have a choice. I feel like Ive wasted money.

I purchased this about six months ago and have a two level home so phones are now placed upstairs and downstairs. The "push to talk" communication between the handsets works very well and perfect for calling my son up for dinner or asking a quick question. I love the fact that there is mute on the handset which often isn't the case with portable phones. The volume can be turned VERY loud or off so this is a great feature as well. I am very pleased with these phones and since I work from home full time it is in use heavily and so far holding up quite well.
