Vtech CS6219-2 DECT 6.0 Expandable 2-Handset Cordless Phone System with Caller ID and Handset Speakerphone (CS6219-2)

Comment: I bought this phone, along with an accessory add on (so I have 3 phones) to replace a Uniden I had bought that broke after 3 months. The best part of this phone is if you save a contact to your address book on one of the phones, it saves it to all 3 phones. So, you do not have to save contacts to each phone individually. The same goes for scrolling though missed calls.

I would have liked more choices in the ring tones, there are many of them, but they remind me of the old cell phone ring tones from several years ago.

Comment: I bought this phone to replace the previous 5.7 Vtech I had as it was getting worn out. The old one went literally 4 times farther than this one. If I go more than 30-40 feet from the base it says "connecting...". If you are looking for long range do NOT get 6.0 DECT technology. It has good sound quality but horrible distance.

Comment: I bought this set to replace my vtech phone that suddenly died. The construction of the older phone was far superior to this telephone.

This Vtech phone is designed to look very much like a Comcast remote control. This is very inconvenient when the remotes and phone are on a coffee table or night stand.

This Vtech phone is also designed to be flat - totally flat. It has not shape that would enable the user to hold the phone to their ear when placed against their shoulder. The Vtech is so flat that it just slips off the shoulder. And the speaker feature does not work well enough to use in lieu of holding it against the shoulder.

My other complaint is that one of the reasons I bought this phone through Amazon is because it was listed as for sale by Amazon, that shipment would be immediate and I would have my phone in about 3 days. However; Amazon turned my sale over to a side company which did not honor Amazon's shipping promise. I ordered the phone on the 19th and did not receive it until the 26th.

I am very disappointed in this telephone and the way Amazon mis-represented the shipping on this item.

Comment: My wife and I recently decided to get a landline after years of using only our mobile phones. This set of Vtech phones are a perfect compliment to our new, plain old telephone service. With two handsets, and the ability to add more, we can have one nearby whenever we need to make a call. The directory in the handsets is a great added benefit. Adding/editing entries in one handset updates all of them. Great phones.
