Comment: Great Set! 2 Phones, 2 cradles/rechargers, and only one that needs line to outlet
Good clear reception, super long range, plus LCD panel and phonebook...
Alltogether a GREAT SETUP... No Problems!
After usin em for ~3 years, the battery life began getting short(4-6 hrs off the cradle compared to full days of usage when new)
Am happy to find they use std NiMH AAA recharable batteries!
WOW! New batteries and LIKE BRAND NEW again!!!
Hope to get another 3 years outa this Set...

Summary: almost sure 2007-04-28
Comment: these look exactly like the phones i have. i am about 95% sure they are the same unless vtech is dumb and made tons of models with the same frequency and color.
anyway, i have had these phones for years approximatly 5. one of the headsets batteries went bad just recently but radioshack helped me there, with simple rechargeable AAA's they work exactly the same and a lot of people just toss phones when they stop charging well. they have offered replacement batteries for years and now with a phone taking AAA's its easier.
back on topic, the phones have a decent range never having a problem on my property and they are clear sounding except for the mic being extra sensitive every now and then but with a light tap it goes back to normal, what do you want for such an old product. the speaker phone works well and the auto dial from phonebook works well. sometimes about once a year i have a random problem, normally something like the phone has no dialtone or something, unplug and wait then replug and its fine. they WILL interfere with 802.11 wireless connections as all 2.4Ghz phones do.
overall they are good cheap phones, i steer clear of Vtech though since i bought their changable faceplate cordless and it stopped working in a month and never worked again. but these phones have been thrown at the ground on wood floors and split open a bit then snapped back together and dropped all kinds of stuff. they still work.
using them handsfree without speaker or a headset will let them slip off your shoulder but thats normal, thats why they have a jack and speaker.

Summary: Searching and searching and searching 2006-11-11
Comment: Like others,my phone simply displays a message indicating
"Searching". It won't ring, I can't place calls. The user manual says nothing about the Searching message, their website has not assistance.
On the plus side, the phone was inexpensive. On the minus side, it's cheap.

Summary: Didn't last very long... 2006-04-28
Comment: When I bought this phone (against the reviews on Amazon) it was okay at first. I've had it for less than a year and am already having to buy another phone. It turns into this crackling static noice and the person on the other end can't hear at all. I also agree that after being on the charger for any length of time the phone will burn your cheek because it's so hot. I definitely would advise against making this your new phone.

Summary: 16 months later - still very happy 2006-03-03
Comment: I bought this set in oct 2004 when I got VOIP. I love the fact the batteries are standard AAA Nimh so if needed to be replaced, it would be cheap and quick to find.
Sound quality is good, speaker phone clear and easy to use. If your caller ID doesn't provide the name it will match it with the phone book and provide the name if it's in the phonebook.
I almost always put the phone right back on the charger, but on those rare times we would not I'd say with light usage (we don't use the phone that much) we could go at least 3-4 days before the low battery icon came on. I'd know with the phone on the charger until used we had over 2 hours continuous talk time and the low battery would not come on.
Reasons for 4 not 5 stars:
stand up only (no wall mount option)
no battery charge status indicator - only low battery icon!
no battery charging indicator on charger only. Base unit shows charging, second phone only shows a tiny icon "filling up" and you have to really look closely to see it.
After 16 months it's working as well as the day I bought them.
