This review is from: VTech ev2625 2.4 GHz DSS Cordless Phone with Dual Handsets and Caller ID (Metallic Blue/White) (Office Product) In my opinion, nothing is quite like shopping for a new cordless. Its a risky investment. First there's the phone itself, then you have to worry about batteries, and then static from neighbors. Well, I am happy to say, this phone has got just what I need, at the price I like, with features that are just right.
This is a two handset 2.4 ghz phone. One base plugs into the phone socket, and the second base just needs an electrical outlet. With a two story house, this additional handset has quickly become my favorite feature. We keep one handset downstairs and the other is upstairs. Can't beat that! The colors on the phone are different that I'm use to, but they are pleasant in person and seem to blend in well with my neutral decor. The keypad and caller id screen are illuminated in soft orange light when buttons are pushed or the phone is ringing. I like that each phone can have a 'name'. This review is from: VTech ev2625 2.4 GHz DSS Cordless Phone with Dual Handsets and Caller ID (Metallic Blue/White) (Office Product) There are few phones on the market that have the same features as theise phones. There's caller ID and a headset adapter (headset not included). There's a digital display of the number you last dialed. There's a timer that keeps track of how long you've been talking. There's a speakerphone on both phones, as well as a phonebook. You can even use the phones as an intercom. The charging stations on both phones require very little counter space. The master base station even has a "new voice mail" indicator light that works with the phone company's voice mail system. Other manufacturers sell similar features for 2 to 3 times the price, and few products are as complete as these phones. Now the bad stuff. The body of the phones is made of low-quality plastic. They are cheap. If you leave the handsets in their rechargers for too long, they become uncomfortably warm. The phones are half-duplex meaning you can't hear yourself talk (even without the speakerphone). You...Read more 11 of 11 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: VTech ev2625 2.4 GHz DSS Cordless Phone with Dual Handsets and Caller ID (Metallic Blue/White) (Office Product) This review is for its sister model (V2650) which has the same handset as this model. The sister model has answering machine feature builtin but overall they are the same in terms of handset features and sound quality.
Man, it is so hard today to find a cordless phone with good voice quality. I dumped several phones due to such reason. But this model does not disappoint me. I'd highly recomment it to anyone looking for cordless phone (and with answering maching combo). Pro: 1. Loud and clear. The sound quality from the handset rivals those landphones. No static. This is the default setting. If your hearing capability is not great, you can always turn that up! This is the most important thing a phone needs to do, however so many others fail. 2. Second handset. 3. Speaker phone. 4. Illuminating buttons on handset (useful in night) 5. Clear and relatively big font on the LCD screen of handsets...Read more |
