For a Novice, this phone was easy to install and program. I haven't set up the voicemail system yet because I have an outside voicemail with professional recording and music on hold. I was able to replace my 22 year old panasonic 6 line system with the XBlue, with nominal knowledge of phone connection. I started with several heaps of spagetti wiring, and simplified it to just one group. It was very easy to extract the fax line and the office alarm line, before the xblue router input. In the past, I had paid all those experts, who created mindboggling and senseless connections that I didn't need and was able to get rid of. The best part was that I saved close to $4000 over a local phone installer's price.

I went to a local installer/seller and the quote came back at nearly $4850 installed for a phone system for 5 phones. I knew there had to be a more cost effective way. I stumbled across the Xblue X16 with 8 phones for 1/4 the cost, and naturally I was nervous about the difficulty in setting it up.
All I did was plug everything in and voila, it just kind of worked. Recorded the auto-attendant and was off and running. The phone system is really quite easy to use and it works great, does internal paging, voicemails, multiple lines, etc. I also purchased a simple on-hold music device, just put an MP3 on the device and plug into the back of the XBlue and that was done.
We have 4 lines, and just calling comcast and setting up a hunt group (took 5 minutes) was great, now the phone automatically rings an open line when the others are in use. I...Read more
